1. Hawaii Pacific University – Tuition: $15,720 per year. Room/Board: $11,648 per year. HPU is the largest private university in Hawaii. It features three different campuses, all just a bus ride away from each other. They offer over 50 undergraduate programs,focus on providing students with worthwhile internships, and their programs are in session all year long. The school enrolls over 7,000 undergraduate students and has an average class size under 20.
2. Chaminade University – Tuition: $17,600 per year. Room/Board: $10,380 per year. The only Catholic university in Hawaii, CU offers 23 undergraduate programs of study. Their undergraduate enrollment is over 1,000, with a majority of local, native Hawaiian students. The school has over 36 different student organizations and is located right next to Waikiki Beach.
3. University of Hawaii – Tuition: resident $5,136 per year, non-resident $15,744 per year. Room/Board: $6,418 per year. Although Honolulu features a community college that is part of the University of Hawaii system, the campus in West Oahu is just a short drive to the west of Honolulu. This public four-year university currently enrolls over 1,100 students.
4. Brigham Young University Tuition:$4,420 per year. Room/Board: $7,980 per year. This school is affiliated with the Church of the Latter Day Saints and charged higher tuition rates to students who are not members of the church. The school enrolls almost 30,000 undergraduate students
5. Heald College Tuition: dependent on your program, call for more information. Heald offers 22 different programs of study at their Honolulu campus. The private career college also features campuses on the mainland. They provide practical, hands-on instruction to their students.
